Otherwise, if the woman is looking to date a guy, then she would really appreciate flowers and other symbols of "pursuance". For goodness sake, don't try to take romance out of the picture. It is nearly dead as we speak. Unless they are not interested in the man (and you will pick up on that vibe soon enough), or unless the women just want a quick, one-night stand, which desi guys may be looking for also.

I wrote this 3 years ago and my opinions have changed since then. I think back then I wanted indian men, who I believe are more soft spoken than american men, to be bolder and approach american women without any fear of rejection so I was over aggressive in making my point. For example I remember a desi man who was completely heart broken when his best friend, an american man, stole his girlfriend from him. He kept telling me that the gori girl thought that he was too soft spoken and always being a gentleman…it is at this time that Tom Leykis made sense… I personally think that good indian boys who've made their careers should settle down with western women. There is simply an overwhelming amount of unjust bais against white (and black!) women and men when it comes to marriage in India. I am genuinely sorry you found the post inappropriate.
